Thala Ajith to do Film With Siva (Sirthai Director)

Thala Ajith who is awaitng for his forthcoming movie Billa 2 to hit the screens has confirmed that he is going to team up with Siruthai director Siva after Vishnuvardhan’s film.

Ajith says about his next films “My next film will be with my Billa director Vishnuvardhan and we are planning to release this untitled film on Diwali.“After this I’ll join with director Siva for a movie that will be produced by Vijaya Productions banner,”

Ajith said about Billa 2 as “Chakri Toleti has shaped up Billa 2 well.”Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdulla are romancing Thala Ajith in this film.

Thala Ajith, Nayantara & Aarya in Next Vishnuvardhan's Movie

Ajith's next movie in the direction of Vishnuvardhan is not a film on urbane nature.Nayanatara will be romancing Ajith in the film while Arya in a antagonist role.

Vishnuvardhan has roped in Suba to pen the script of the film.Vishnu says “Ajith starrer is not urban centered like Billa, but reality based on the lines of Pattiyal. Interestingly by writer duo SuBa.”

Currently Vishnuvardhan is busy with the pre-productions of this untitled film.In the meantime Thala Ajith is gearing up the audio release of Billa 2.On the other hand Aarya is busy with the shooting of Irandam Ulagam in the direction of Selvaraghavan.

Thala's Billa 2 introduction scenes canning in Goa

Thala Ajith is on cloud nine as his recently released movie Mankatha is running succesfully in theatres.Ajith is now fully working on his upcoming new movie Billa 2.

Ajith's Billa 2 movie has wrapped up Hyderabad shooting schedule where few crucial scenes of the film are being canned.Billa 2 unit shifted to Goa where main introduction scenes and important scequences of the film to be filmed.Billa 2 further to can the movie in Pondicherry and East Europe.

Huma Qureshi is zeroed in as love interest of Ajith in Billa 2 while Bruna Abdullah a brazilian model as second fiddle in the movie. Bollywood actress Sudhanshu Pandey has joined the gangster movie Billa 2 who plays the role of a villian to Ajith in the film.

Chakri Toleti is directing the movie.Yuvan Shankar Raja to render tunes for Billa 2 movie while production designer to be Selva Kumar. Billa 2 movie is being shot Epic RED camera running at its full 5K resolution .IN Entertainment (India) Limited (INE) and Wide Angle Creations of Suresh Balaji and George Pius are jointly producing the film.

Thala Ajith's Mankatha Tamil Movie Review Read This Superb

Mankatha after having played 'uLLe veLiye' for quite a while, strikes finally, AND in style! For his golden jubilee flick, Ajith, the 'golden hearted' lad of Tamil cinema teams up with the uber cool Venkat Prabhu and his gang of boys and the effect is exciting to say the least.

When you have the handsome Vinayak Mahadev (Ajith) team himself with a few boys on his 'Money' mission and when there is cop Prithviraj (Arjun) who is hot on their trail, what you get is a heady cocktail of events that suck you into the premise of Mankatha albeit a bit late.

For Venkat Prabhu, it is a huge responsibility to fuse in his irreverent style of film making with the sensibilities of Ajith's image and the director has not compromised one bit here and kudos to him for this.
Mankatha unfolds languorously and takes its own sweet time to establish the premise when the major portion of the first half keep flitting in between many tracks with three romances. When you start wondering whether the movie is going anywhere at all, it shifts to third gear to be only brought down by a song or two. And when the director finally decides to cast everything else away and focus on the central plot, the story takes an interesting detour and mutates into a Grand Prix race all the way from the second half with Venkat Prabhu reserving all his aces for the climax.

There is always no dearth of humor in Venkat Prabhu's films but in Mankatha it is a bit muted when compared to his other works. Mostly the comic lines are at the expense of Premji and the best example is his analogy with Youtube sensation Sam Anderson. Dialogues like - "Light pottutu daan otta koodadhu, lightaa pottutu ottalam" bring cheers. And the typical Venkat Prabhu's conceptualization of humor in a serious situation still finds place but they are few.

The cat and the mouse game is exciting and the best part is you are never able to realize how many cats and mice are involved in the game. Even better is the fact that you cannot be quite sure of who is playing the double cross on whom and it is not until the final frame that you can put all the pieces together. Hats off to Venkat Prabhu for keeping the audience guessing all the way and scripting an absolute cracker of a climax! The chess board sequence just before the interval block is unique and intelligent. 

The portions that looked unnecessary additions in the first half are all neatly explained in the context of things at the end, leaving no loose ends. 

With an ensemble cast, there is every likelihood that at least a few would be relegated to the sidelines but all of them are there deservedly.  

When we talk about performances, Ajith is unarguably the pièce de résistance of Mankatha and it is his uninhibited performance that captivates the audience. For him, it is a superb knock on the field well laid out by Venkat Prabhu. He simply sizzles in his action shots and his cute expressions in dance sequences are a revelation. The consistency in Ajith's characterization is a major plus for the film. Next to Ajith, it is action king Arjun who has held on to his fort. Premji, Jaiprakash, Vaibhav, Mahat and Ashwin round out the supporting cast who blend in with ease with the story. As it is a men's film, women have nothing to do in Mankatha.

On the downside, the number of gun battles and their lengths may tire you a bit and the vital heist which should have been extremely powerful lacks the fizz. Songs are not a value addition to the film at all and are mostly road blocks sans 'Machi open the bottle'.

Success of a cinematographer and editor lies in their unobtrusive work in sync with the subject, and cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan and editors Praveen & Srikanth score in this department.

"Unakku ide maadiri 500 pondaati kedappa daa." - with this dialogue, Ajith completes his mission of breaking all the syntax of a Tamil hero and has gone on to prove that an actor should strictly treat the script as the hero. Take a bow Ajith! It is a memorable 50^th film indeed.

Thala's Mankatha Film Release date in doubts ?

Atmost after a long wait Thala's Mankatha Audio has been released and now the fans are eargerly waiting for the release of Mankatha film.

Mankatha movie has wrapped entire the shooting by the time the regime of the film has been changed and producer of the film got into problems.In the recent times we heard that Cloud Nine had a small discussion with UTV Motion Pictures but no deal was finalised.

Here is the latest buzz is that Director Venkat Prabhu is in plans to release Mankatha movie on September 1st as it will be a weekend cinema on Vinayaka Chathurthi- Ramzan festival eve.In the recent times Kerala Distributor Diva Pictures had informed that Mankatha will release on September 1st or 8th as for Onam festival.

Thala's Billa 2 to use Avatar 2 technology

We are here to give one more update of Thala Ajith's next film Billa 2.Ajith is mostly seen in a common face of a Don in Mankatha and Billa 2 films.

Now the latest update of Thala's Billa 2 is that Director Chakri Toleti and cinematographer R.D. Rajashekar are in plans to use EPIC Camera with 5K Resolution for the shooting of Billa 2 movie.The same technologies were being used by James Cameron for his sequel film Avatar-2.So Ajith's Bailla 2 will be picturised as Avatar 2.

Chakri Toleti is busy in pre production works of Billa 2 and also working on locations for shooting of the film.The shooting Ajith's Billa 2 to kick start from this weekend in Hyderabad.

Mankatha scheduled to release on Aug 15th

We are with the latest update to all Thala Ajith fans regarding Mankatha release date.As there were many speculation and few of Mankatha crew announced that audio to released in this month but none happened on the scheduled date.

Now here is the official news from director of Mankatha Venkat Prabhu had announced that Mankatha will be releasing of August 15th on the eve of Independence Day.The entire crew of Mankatha are busy in and working persistently on the film. Mankatha has completed its shooting recently at Hyderabad and right now progressing in its post production works.Earlier
director was in plans to release Mankatha movie on Ajith's birthday which didn't happen due to techincal problems.

Yuvan Shankar Raja rendered tunes for this film and we can expect Mankatha audio launch soon.
