Actor wants a break after Krrish 3 to take wife Sussanne

From : Hrithik Fanz Club
Actor wants a break after Krrish 3 to take wife Sussanne on road trip across Europe before jumping into a new project

According to a recent report, after Agneepath and Krrish 3, which is currently on the floors, Hrithik Roshan has been signed on for another film opposite Priyanka Chopra. But the star denies any such development. "I'm planning to take a much-needed break after Krrish 3 wraps up around August-September.

I want to go off with Sussanne (wife Sussanne Roshan) on a road trip across Europe. We've been planning this. Hopefully, I won't get so excited about any script that I directly jump into another project.

I'd like a month or two off," says the actor, who isn't planning to sign any new film before the year-end.

Even a sequel for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) is on hold for now, though all the three `buoyz' -Hrithik, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol -have admitted that they'd love to go on another trip together.

"It's too early to write a sequel, but if Zoya (director Zoya Akhtar) wants me in part two, I'm in," he says.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur recently admitted that he's ready to flag off his futuristic love story, Paani, which is set against the backdrop of a fast-escalating global water crisis that divides Mumbai into two worlds. The director wants Indian funding for the film, which he aspires to take to the Oscars. Shekhar has discussed the project with Hrithik and says that he is still the only actor he has in mind for the male lead.

Prod Hrithik and he says, "The last time we spoke about Paani was a year ago. A lot of time has passed and everything will depend on what stage Shekhar's project is in now.

It would definitely be an honour to work with him, but we haven't met since.

Unlike other actors, who work on five films a year, Hrithik feels it's beyond him to do as much.

Agneepath took up a year and a half and Krrish 3 will need the same. "Actually, I've been on Krrish 3 for four years already -three years of dreaming, one year of scripting and now 10 months of shooting, followed by post-production.

That's the way I work," says Hrithik, who will only hit the big screen on Diwali 2013. But before that, he could be back on TV, on the show, Koffee With Karan.

"I can't say no to Karan," he laughs.

Any chance that this year we will see his sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan, making their TV debut with daddy and mummy?

"No, there's no need for that," he retorts. "It's not right to expose children to the spotlight so early in life. Let them be children."

Its about enjoying life in the here & now: Hrithik

From a record-breaking debut to getting a waxwork in London's Madame Tussauds, there have been some incredible moments in Hrithik Roshan's amazing career.

The latest high in the popular star's journey is the success of his most recent release Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD). The Spain-set comedy-drama about seizing the day has been a super hit and formed a connection with audiences around the world.

"I feel completely elated with the success of ZNMD. I feel so touched and thankful for audiences' warm response. A lot of love went into this movie and I'm glad that reflected on screen and was appreciated by audiences," says Hrithik.

Despite a hectic schedule, the gifted actor took time out to speak to Eastern Eye and the main topic of conversation was, of course, ZNMD.

Although he did not foresee how big a success it would be, Hrithik was quietly confident that it would strike the right chord with audiences.

"Well, the concept of the film was really fresh and when there is a master touch from a director like Zoya (Akhtar), you feel pretty confident that the film will work.

"I think it did well across the world because it was a very human film and transcended socio-geographical boundaries. Audiences could relate to the film and to the characters as their life experiences were very real and relatable."

He isn't surprised that Zoya was able to handle a film about male bonding and dismisses comparisons between ZNMD and her brother Farhan Akhtar's directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai.

"In Dil Chahta Hai, yes, there were certain similarities such as the three male friends who each have a very different set of life experiences. However, the two films are completely different in terms of tone, theme and treatment. Having worked with Zoya previously and also knowing her as a friend, I wasn't surprised at how she handled the subject matter. Her working style is completely focused and that intensity transferred to all of those involved."

The other thing that stood out was the amazing chemistry that Hrithik shared with Katrina Kaif (pictured above with Hrithik Roshan in ZNMD). He is full of praise for the actress whose acting ability has been called into question in the past, saying she was a thorough professional.

"Katrina is a great artist and a wonderful human being. I guess it was a case of the right script presenting itself and she was certainly perfect for the role.

"We had a great time working together. As well as being a hugely talented and committed actor, Katrina is a very sweet person. She was a joy to spend time with on set, as well as all of us hanging out together once we had wrapped for the day," says Hrithik.

The actors says the entire shoot was a blast from start to finish and picks out the tomatina festival as a major highlight. He reveals that it was a new experience for him and was tremendous fun to shoot despite being very messy. So did he learn any cool Spanish phrases? He smiles and says: "I speak Spanish since I had learned it for Kites. That came pretty handy to communicate with the locals."

Aside from the fun aspect, ZNMD worked really well and will continue to draw in audiences because of the messages in the film about friendship, being honest with yourself, seizing the day, building bridges and choosing the right path. When the actor is asked about what the biggest lesson the film taught him, he says, "Living life in the present moment. Let go of past regrets and try to disconnect from continually looking to the future. Enjoy and live life in the here and now, as that is all we have. Obviously, it is in the present moment that we lay the foundations for the future, but enjoy the ride and celebrate the present moment as the gift from the universe that it is."

One of the surprising aspects of ZNMD for some was the stand-out performance from filmmaker- turned-actor Farhan Akhtar. Hrithik says he isn't at all surprised with the progress his childhood friend has made as an actor in a short space of time.

"He has been a dear friend since childhood, but seeing him in his professional zone is completely different. He is so committed, focused and passionate about what he does. His achievements, both in front of and behind the camera, are equally mesmerising. He's a huge asset to the industry."

So does Hrithik have a favourite moment from ZNMD that will stay with him? "Every moment spent in the film will stay with me forever. It was an exceptional journey which will never be erased from my mind."
Ever since the film has been declared a hit, Hrithik has been working around the clock on his reality TV show Just Dance and next release Agneepath. Despite this he has found time to enjoy the success of ZNMD, saying it's important to savour moments like this. "Well, when you have worked hard on some-thing, you have to take some time out to enjoy the success. But for me, it's about enjoying that success with my family and spending as much time as I can with them before the next work commitment."

Talking of work, the actor has been a massive success on his first TV project Just Dance, which has, not surprisingly, been a huge hit. He describes it as a wonderful experience and hasn't ruled out tevision work in the future, saying the love and affection that he has received is touching and truly humbling. "It has been so great to have the opportunity of giving advice, mentoring to an extent and trying to instill confidence and self-belief in some amazingly talented individuals.I want them to know that anything is possible if you put your all into it. I woult certainly thing about doing more television if good concepts are introduced, although this experience of Just Dance would be hard to beat."

Hrithik will next be seen in the hotly anticipated remake of Amitabh Bachchan classic Agneepath and then this will be followed by the next installment of hit superhero film Krrish. "Agneepath is progressing very positively. I have put a lot of pressure on myself with this particular role, as I am very conscious about doing justice to Mr Bachchan's unforgettable performance in the original. In terms of Krrish 3,we are currently in the pre-production stages. Krrishwas certainly a milestone character in Indian cinema for being the first superhero film and I'm extremely proud of that. With Krrish 3, we have a lot surprises in store for audiences, so watch this space," he says with a smile.

The two mega-budget movies continue the trend of Hrithik only acting in big projects. So why doesn't the gifted actor work in the smaller-budget, character-driven independent movies? "I certainly wouldn't rule it out as I am a huge fan and advocate of independent cinema – it is pushing boundaries and showcasing some amazing talent, both behind and in front of the camera. It would just be a case of the right opportunity presenting itself," he says.So does Hrithik find a new part of himself in every role? "I think each role allows you to uncover something new in yourself. It can be a great process of self realization and self-awareness.Even though you may not relate to the character as a life experience,it can certainly open your horizons on many levels."

Hrithik says he loves interacting with fans whenever he can because they mean everything to him. "It is their prayers and blessings which keep me going. I want to thank them so much for all the love and affection they continue to show me. You are all amazing and I hope to come see you all soon."

Clearly happy that these same fans and a whole host of new ones have taken ZNMD to their hearts, the actor still wants even more people to see the film in cinemas or when it comes out on DVD later this year. "The film appeals to audiences of all ages, male and female. It's a film that makes a connection with everyone as it is a very human and relatable film which has a feel good factor and has a strong message. We collectively put our hearts and souls into this film – it was a labour of love for the entire cast and crew."

The most awaited project from the house of Roshans, 'Krrish 3' is set to go on floors this year end. Since it's a triology ('Koi Mil Gaya', 'Krrish'), it will be titled 'Krrish 3' and not 'Krrish 2', inform sources. Also, Rakesh Roshan will shoot the film in 2D format and later on, it will be converted into 3D. The VFX of the film is going to be an expensive affair, as experts from Hollywood are being roped in for this mega budget super hero film.
The estimated budget of the film, as per sources, is somewhere about 100 Crores. The film, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka in the lead roles, will begin to roll in December. The film may see Rekha doing a special appearance and Hrithik playing a double role too.
A three month marathon shoot will be held at Ramoji Rao Studios, Hyderabad commencing January 2012. A huge set of Mumbai city is being erected since it will be difficult for the film unit to shoot action sequences on the streets of Mumbai.
Jacqueline Fernandez has replaced Chitrangada Singh in the movie and Vivek Oberoi, who plays a negative role, is undergoing a rigorous training session of Martial Arts and is also working towards developing six pack abs for his role, which as per Vivek- is going to be his dream run.
'Krrish 3' is expected to hit screens on Diwali of 2013.

Come August 31 and the trailer of Karan Johar’s Agneepath being directed by Karan Malhotra will be screened along with Salman Khan’s Bodyguard. We also know that this is one of the most-anticipated movies on the slate and is scheduled for a January 13, 2012, release.

The first thing that crosses your mind before you watch the trailer is: how similar is the film to the original masterpiece made by Mukul S Anand? Well, the only similarities are the basic premise, the title and the names of the main characters – Vijay Dinanath Chauhan (Hrithik Roshan replaces Amitabh Bachchan) and Kancha Cheena (Sanjay Dutt replaces Danny Denzongpa). Otherwise, they are altogether different films, different experiences… trust us.

There are many reasons why you shouldn’t miss the trailer. One, the film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the production house which gave us the original cult classic with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. Also, hearthroab Hrithik Roshan is doing an out-an-out commercial film after a hiatus. The film also has Sanjay Dutt playing out-an-out negative role for the first time. There’s Rishi Kapoor playing a baddie in the true sense (his character did have shades of grey in Khoj, which released many years ago). And there’s the pretty Priyanka Chopra.

Last but not least, the film is helmed by the talented Karan Malhotra. So what if he is making his directorial debut? Watch the trailer and Malhotra comes off as a veteran at making hardcore commercial entertainers. He’s brilliant and a director to look forward.

What you get in the trailer:

1. Determination evident in the eyes of Hrithik Roshan
2. A certain crudeness in Sanjay Dutt’s voice and behavior, which makes him look like, not Deadly Dutt, but Deadliest Dutt
3. This may be the first time Rishi Kapoor is playing a baddie but his performance will give you goosebumps
4. The extravaganza in every scene is palpable in every frame of the trailer. It makes you wonder, if the trailer is of this high quality and so entertaining, what’s in store for us when the film itself hits the screen in January?

Verdict: A sure-shot entertainer and box-office jackpot.

Promo Details: The promo starts with drama and ends with relentless action scenes. Hrithik is simplae and intense. Mr Dutt is menacing, mean and and finally a bad guy villain. He is rustic, more Indian and doesnt wear designer clothes. Rishi Kapoor is one of the bad guys with an action sequence and the promo has no dancing and singing numbers. The music is composed by Ajay-Atul. The official launch is expected on Monday. Information Courtesy: Amul Mohan.

Katrina Kaif is going to share screen space with Priyanka Chopra in 'Krrish 3'

Katrina Kaif, hot katrina kaif, katrina kaif hot, sexy
Although both very hard to stay away from others, but the rumour is that Katrina Kaif is going to share screen space with Priyanka Chopra in 'Krrish 3' and the problem is that Priyanka is not likely to do it!

Anurag Basu had also been an attempt to "Barfee" answer and even tried to rope Behl Shristhi adaptation to war brides in India. But none of this could be achieved. But this time it seems that Rakesh Roshan has that others do not reach, bringing together Priyanka and Kat for the production of 'Krrish 3' of the house, however, is the protagonist of the film Priyanka Chopra.

And even if there is to know each other as rivals, we still need to know how to react after seeing the other. The film is scheduled for production at 15th June goes, as our source said. "The film is scheduled to go on the floor 15 June after the completion of filming of the master plan Agneepath Hrithik Diu"

Currently in Spain, stunning Katrina and Hrithik finished shooting for Zoya Akhtar Zindagi Na Dobara Milega. Hrithik and Katrina seem to be excited about the film; in fact, Kat was in search of his clothing and other needs to shoot well.

“Hrithik has become a friend, mentor and like an older brother.” – Karan of Just Dance

Just Dance seems to have taken the film, dance and reality television worlds by storm. Boasting talented participants scoured from all over the world and judges who are well-established within the Indian cinema, the show is a firm favourite with its audiences. The icing on the cake for the show is in seeing, for the first time, a judge in the gorgeous Hrithik Roshan. His dancing style is admired by all and what better way to make a transit to the small screen than to judge a dance reality TV show.
The choreographing duo, Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant, spent weeks visiting different parts of the world to find who would go on to be (as Roshan has been known to say) “the best dancers in the world”. While on their search in the UK, they came across Karan Pangali. The twosome were immediately impressed by Karan’s stage presence and his versatility as a dancer. From that very first audition in the UK, Karan has danced his way into the viewers’ hearts.
Back home in London, Karan has his own dance school known as Karan’s Bollywood Masterclass and it’s become apparent that his talents do not end at dancing alone. He is, in essence, a performing artist who teaches his students the art of dance. He is also a keen musician, actor and model. If his many talents are anything to go by, it can be said that Karan’s future within the fraternity – be that in the dancing, acting or choreographing arena – will go beyond Just Dance.
I had the unique and extraordinary opportunity to catch up with the popular contestant who is currently shooting for the show in Mumbai. Check out this exclusive interview!

The best films made on Patriotism in India

Well, Independence day is almost here and i have decided to pick out five films that made me think that i have a responsiblity towards my country and make me feel patriotic.I am not a great film critic and doesn't watch that too many films.I have seen films in three indian languages and they are Hindi,Tamil and Malayalam, and my opinions would be based on the films i have seen in these languages.

Rang De Basanti
  1. Rang De Basanti

Om Prakash Mehra's 'Rang De Basanti' stands out as one of the best films ever made in India and also one of the best patriotic films ever made. The film has an excellent storyline with an extrordinary script and a perfect cast who gave terrific performances. The film starts of with a bunch of Youngster's who is carefree about what is going on around them and awaken's when injustice happens to one of them and decides to teach the government a lesson with their protest. The film had a huge cast with Aamir Khan,Madhavan,Siddharth,Kunal Kapoor,Sharman Joshi,Atul Kulkarni,Soha Ali Khan and Alice Pattern. The film connects the independence era with the modern era, when the characters they played for the documentary by Alice Pattern happens in real life. The film had music by Music maestro AR Rahman and had some great songs like 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Luka Chuppi'.The film is a must watch, If you haven't seen yet.

Swades, We the people.

  • Swades, We the people.

Swades is another film that moved me a lot and maybe a lot of people. The film was directed by Ashutosh Gowariker back in 2004 and had Shahrukh Khan in the lead role. The film had a relatively small cast but had a very excellent script and music. The film is about Mohan Bhargava an NRI who lives in the US and works for NASA,After 12years in the US,He decides to come on a vaccation to India to visit his nanny 'Kaveri Amma'.He soon falls in love with the surroundings and its people and feels for the people in distress. He decides to help the people of the village by making a hydro-electric plant to generate electricity. After he returns to US,he realizes how much he misses being back in India and then quits his job and comes back to India. This is an excellent film and makes you wonder how great an actor Shahrukh Khan is.

Roja

  • Roja

There is no list without a Mani Ratnam movie,Though Mani Ratnam has made other movies on Patriotism like Dilse and Bombay,Roja just stands out with its music and story line.No wonder why the film was remade into many languages other than the original Tamil version. The film was the debut of AR Rahman and was listed among TIME magazine's 10 best soundtracks of all timeThe film stars Aravinda Swami and Madhoo in the lead roles.Rishi Kumar played by Aravinda Swamy is kidnapped by Terrorists in Kashmir and his wife Roja played by Madhoo pleads to the government and politicians to free her husband. The film also throws some light on the Terrorism in the Jammu and Kashmir. The cinematography, music and the plot makes this film stand out from the rest.

    Hrithik Roshan in Lakshya.
  • Lakshya

Lakshya is a film directed by Farhan Akthar which stars Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. The film proved what Hrithik is really capable of with a mind blowing performance as 'Karan Shergil',at first Karan is shown as a care free person who doesn't even care about his future and happens to apply for the army on seeing his friend apply. The first half shows his struggle at the army and in the second half another Hrithik is presented before you, a very responsible Army officer. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan as Hrithik's higher officer. The film has a very good plot which makes it a must watch.

Chak de! India

  • Chak de! India

Chak de! India again is a film starring Shahrukh Khan as an ex-hockey player 'Kabir Khan' who unfortunately has to take blame for a loss in the world championship final match against Pakistan. He is criticised heavily by the Indian media and are forced to move out of his ancestral home by angry neighbours,Seven years later he returns to coach the Indian women's hockey team and leads them to win the Hockey World Championship. The same people who criticised him earlier praises him for his achivement and he moves in back to his home.An amazing film, Must watch. This is Shahrukh Khan's best performance till date according to me.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Hindi Hrithi Movie Review on 15/7/2011

Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin

Directed by Zoya Akhtar

Rating: ***
Films dealing with life-altering epiphanies are always shot in stunning locations. And Hindi films dealing with the same, need a stunning cast as well. A possible rationale: beautiful places relieve stress and bring things into perspective. And beautiful people experiencing divine realizations can hold your perspective on the screen, often resulting in a 'ka-ching' sound at the box office. 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' (ZNMD) is one such film.
In true 'Hangover' meets Vikas-Krishna-Barcelona spirit, the film deals with a bachelor adventure marinated with stories of finding, losing and forgetting love. Kabir (Abhay Deol), an affluent construction tycoon is about to take the marital plunge. But not before he completes a much-postponed trip with school buddies, investment banker (and constantly grumpy) Arjun (Hrithik Roshan) and freestyle flirt Imraan (Farhan Akhtar).
So, the boys with biceps shoot off to Spain, a land where sunny means a summery glow and not sweaty and stinky, much like an AC studio in Mahalaxmi. Now, the deal is that each would pick a secret adventure sport and the others would have to join him at it.

The problem arises when Kabir's fiancé, poisonously possessive Natasha (Kalki Koechlin) lands up in Spain suspecting a wild orgy (don't get your hopes up, there aren't any). Soon, Kabir takes over as grumpy and Arjun finds hope underwater, as spunky skiing instructor Laila (Katrina Kaif) shows him corals and also offers morals like 'seize the day' and 'live in the moment for you could die tomorrow'. These prophetic pearls of wisdom (from the rough draft of Guzaarish 2?) pierce through Kabir and he realizes how he cherishes things besides money. On Arjun's exaggerated revelations, Imraan remarks, "Ek hi dubki mein zindagi ke saarein raaz khul gaye? Tujhe toh underwater hi rehna chahiye." But then Imraan only spends his screen presence saying and doing things that would be considered unacceptable or just down-right silly in adult society.
The film isn't as simplistic as it seems and each character has a back story and internal conflicts that surface intermittently between thrill-seeking stunts, sugary love, drunk talking and some seriously childish pranks.

What is aesthetic in this film apart from the charming Spanish countryside is that scenes which would usually be served with heightened melodrama are quite well contained and subtle, yet convey the emotion.
The music is hummable but the choreography usually finds Abay Deol playing the part of 'Senorita'. Farhan's comic timing is immaculate but his shayari is cocaine-infused and like a soft murmuring background score it could lull you to sleep. Kalki is deliciously annoying as her character required her to be and Katrina's performance doesn't make or break this film. The film's overall humour quotient is not very high and is mostly situational and there are usually more people laughing on the screen than in the audience.

In a tasteful manner, ZNMD has managed to do for Spain, what 'Dil Chahta Hai' did for Goa, beautifully selling the beaches, babes, tomatoes, tortillas and thrilling adventure sports. Spaniards should only be cautious that this tourism AV doesn't do to their country what the malls did to the mills of Lower Parel. Do I hear McTacos?

Hrithik Speaks On Katrina

Greek god Hrithik Roshan seems to be quite impressed with Katrina Kaif’s team spirit and feels her unselfishness has made her so successful in filmdom, while the actress praises him describing him as a “phenomenal” actor.
“I had not seen any of her films until I had started working with her in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. It just happened that I had not been able to see her films,” Hrithik told.
“I was absolutely delighted to work with her. She is a team player, she is not a selfish actor. I like to work with people who give themselves to work, towards the entirety of same goal, that’s what she is, that’s how she is. That’s what has got her so far. What I have seen of her and what people have seen of her on screen is not even 10 percent of what she is capable of,” he added.
The actor’s film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is releasing on July 15, along with co-stars Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina and Kalki Koechlin.
Katrina couldn’t stop raving about Hrithik either.
“Thank you for saying that you have not seen any of my films. I didn’t know that. I have seen his films and have always been a huge fans of his work, he’s a phenomenal actor and I was really excited to have got a chance to work with him,” she said.
